Carmine is a self taught artist that started painting shortly after retiring. He works mainly in acrylics and enjoys painting landscapes, lighthouses, winter scenes, and abstracts. Prior to moving to Pennsylvania, where he resides with his wife of 60 years, Carmen lived in Staten Island and was a member of the Staten Island Artist Association. His paintings were exhibited and sold at many venues in Staten Island, New York including:
Hand-painting rocks is another form of art that Carmen enjoys. These rocks may be used as garden accents, paperweights, and doorstops. All the rocks are painted with non-toxic acrylic paint and sealed with two coats of acrylic sealer for protection.
In addition, Carmine loves taking photos of animals and birds in the woods behind his home.
